a season for fresh peaches
found along a dusty texas farm road
found along a dusty texas farm road
he picked out a bucket of sweet summer fruit
while the simple vines climbing the fences beckoned to me
light through each leaf in curve and vein
strength in the curls reaching . holding
a simple stop on the road of life

Oh those peaches look scrumptious! I love how the tendrils curl themselves to brace their growth!
My mouth is watering just looking at these photos. Don't peaches just taste like summer?
Now that is my kind of stop.
They look so good. Love your photography also.
Simple and perfect. The best kind of moments.
Those delightful tendrils certainly are deceptively strong! and those peaches look scrumptious!

The first photo reminds me of a stained glass window. All of these speak of summer and its many wonders.
I could almost smell those peaches! I crave their summer taste! You are so lucky to live in the South!
mmm... I can almost smell those peaches through the screen, Elk! Oh, I love peaches. I've not had a really good peach in years. They don't grow here, or grow very well that is. So I LIVE peach for a moment here with you. :o) ((BIG HUGS))
I feel like I just had a peach on a porch step with you.
beautiful ~ all of it <3
How tenaciously those vines cling and wrap those bars. They know that survival and strength means finding the support from where you can. The peaches remind me of the sun because of their glorious color and the embodiment of all the bounties God gives us.
What beautiful photos. And I love those gorgeous vines.
so glad to know there is fruit in texas with all the drought stories...and parts of texas are flooding...glad you're appreciating the beauty...
