smooth old wood . curves with well worn marks of life
often creaky . yet still strong . a soft place to land
one chair in a charming room where I briefly
stayed
a reminder to embrace a simple moment
in the quiet light of day

Love that chair. You couldn't talk the owner into letting you take it home.
I can see so many stories around a simple wooden chair that I cannot understand people who have the power to throw it away :) Although it is against the rules of de-cluttering I would gladly keep such a beauty!
Loving your new blog header :)
aahhh
the stories
that chair
could tell.
i'd have
just the
place for it
in my home~

i love the way you embrace simple moments.
art is in the details, especially in your art :)
Somehow the wood even looks soft to the touch - so lovely.
I love seeing old furniture. So worth a photo!
Beautiful chair, I can see why it inspires.
"still strong"...in so many ways this lovely chair is a great metaphor and example of life. Loved this, Elk. Thank you for this quiet, yet big moment. :o) Happy Week ((HUGS))
Love the beauty and simplicity of the words and the chair/pictures.
It is little things and moments like this that you are so marvelous at! Love this series!

What a lovely lovely chair. Thank you for your lovely photos of it.
a quietly beautiful place to be held.
honoring that chair, from "all sides now".....and below the trees, birds, buds.......we share a love for 'capturing' life's treasures!
what a beautiful chair. i could rest there for a while.
i think old chairs hold such beauty because of their worn places. this one is especially beautiful
just the reminder i needed... xoxo
