Sigh, summer is coming to a close. You're right ... be still and take it all in.

This is really lovely. And a message I really need to hear. I need more stillness in my life. I just never get around to doing it.
All the best to you.
I have just discovered your wonderful blog and have been completely enchanted by the beauty of your images and words.
I am your newest, admiring follower.

You are excited to see your young friends, admit it! And maybe sad to see your youngest off... but then again, life is swindling between happy and sad...
blessings to you dear elk x
The perfect message - we could all use a bit of still this week
always find the stillness here and in the links you share ... blessings for your new school year
Nice thoughts--have a wonderful year teaching. Is there any greater joy--music and kids. Teaching them to enjoy and appreciate music is a talent, and many rewards come with the job. Have a nice weekend. Mickie :)
is the bird is going to the university too?
i didn't know you were a music teacher! i played the oboe for many years - began in the fifth grade, thanks to a wonderful elementary school music teacher... i can just imagine how your students must love you.
I envy the music students that have you as their teacher! Have a wonderful year. "Be Still" is going to have to be my mantra this year. Thank you for reminding me.

Being still. It's sometimes the hardest thing to do..to be - in between all of the other noise. Beautiful work!!!
Difficult words to remember, sometimes middle of all this. But so simple and pretty. Like your birds.
I will be still tonight, silent for a while.
Thank you so much for your kind words and visiting my small weather diary.
I wish you a lot of happiness for the new autumn. Evening greeting from a small darkening country far in the north.
hope you have the best of school years yet.
did you know that "be still" is one of my favourite of all time sayings? i exhaled when i saw it here...just the reminder i needed. thanks.

September has always been a transitional time in my mind and seems so much more of a "new year" than January...enjoy
