we raise them to leave the nest . stand on their own
yet when they do . in the stillness they are missed
this summer . these sisters that are friends . have been together
exploring ... working ... playing ... living ... laughing ... flying
I smile from faraway . from the empty nest

This post really hit me...We will be bringing our 3 youngest to Texas to live and start a new chapter in each of their lives...They have spent the past couple of weeks with us and I know I'm going to have a hard time seeing them go.
you are truly blessed....
so beautiful.... xxo
beautiful young fledglings ... as I observe the birds in my backyard, your's seem to have fledged much better! Have a great day Elk!
Beautiful girls!
So much beauty in your daughters as in you ...

what beautiful daughters you have! This post had a bit of extra poignancy for me with my own little bird just beginning her life. Seems strange at the moment to think that one day she might also be travelling along her own path
What beautiful beautiful youth ... it is lovely to see their images captured with such love.
they are so very very lovely... and i am weeping, a little, in sympathy (mine is near to flying, too)
Those are two beautiful young women.
I know the feelings you express all to well! Such lovely young women you have!!! It is rewarding to see our "babies" thrive :)
Beautiful girls, beautiful photos.
They are so beautiful, Elk. You have strong genes...:)
Oh..I can so relate to this. Always good to know that they are together..enjoying time. But then - bittersweet. Beautiful girls!!!
