do not find fear in the dark . search for comfort often called quiet and calm
do not envision only darkness . picture stretching pines embracing a moon
do not hide from the dark . step out into the warm night and let it envelope you
do not take darkness for granted . feel awe standing on summer hot concrete with it

beautifull moon shots Elk! If I can stay up tonight, I'm going to try to capture it!
Beautiful. In college I took an astronomy course and got to use a very, very expensive and very large telescope to take close-up photos of the moon. It was amazing!
Elk, Utterly beautiful words and photos--such a lovely, calming post. Thank you for always having a wonderful post! Mickie :)
What a beautiful post! Your moon shots are gorgeous. These photos are so mysterious; they set my imagination adrift.
this is so simply calming ...
Ahhhh, it's a moon post! Lovin' it. I can't see the moon under this cloud of a heat wave in the Midwest. Thank you!!
Beautiful shots...I need to do just that sometime.
oh how I love your celebration
of the beautiful night sky
...standing on the hot concrete
with you
in awe.
(thanks)

i saw the full moon in all it's glory, shining bright above Dale Hallow Lake while I was away at my family reunion. sadly i did not capture it on film.
"feel awed and standing on the hot concrete with it"
You captured my heart and mind with those words and I was transported exactly there!
Nice moon shot :) Wonderful words.
This makes me sigh happy. The beauty in a moonlit night shines the Shekinah so sweetly. You capture it perfectly here--in word and image! I'm so glad you linked with Playdates, ELK. Fun to play together!
Stunning images and the perfect words to match.
Elk, these are stunning shots! So glad you embraced the night and its beauty - and brought your camera, too!!!
There is something lovely about being outside on a warm summer night but in the winter the stars seem to sparkle more. I am so glad we live away from the city lights so can see the stars.
Oh, how wonderful... hard to feel fear night or darkness with Lady Moon gracing down on us. You've captured the magic so well here, Elk... :o) Happy new week, my friend ((HUGS))
oh my. as always, i love where you take me when i come here.
