gazing upwards from the yard to the west as the wind picks up
feeling the humid rhythm of the raindrops
clouds begin to move across the sky
as I turn to go . a group of clouds to the east move to the beat of a different breeze
I pause in the yard with arms outstretched . a standing ovation to the sky

an intensely busy sky ....
Beautiful sky shots! it deserves a standing ovation!
those are some really cool clouds! You know, I think I like a few clouds in the sky than a clear blue, cloudless sky. They are so fascinating!
Those pictures are beautiful. I've never seen a sky like that last one, beautiful :)
great shots but loving the light in the first one.
thanks for being your beautiful, loving self. one love.
Beautiful shots and those clouds in the last photo ... WOW! Cotton balls!
my head often gets lost in the clouds.....and i like it that way :)
xo
Oh my Elk...gorgeous shots...such intensity!
I love those "Second Coming" clouds as I always think of them where they are illuminated by the sun but, like others, I find the clouds in the last photo so unusual, beyond puffy.
Awesome pictures! So beautiful ... I love them. Thanks for sharing these!
I love that sky!! It's rare, but occasionally in the summertime I'll see a sky similar to this here in Las Vegas...usually smell the rain about to happen...love it!
Oh my gosh! These are incredible captures!
these are so amazing. love the light in the first one.
Wow Elk...So breathtaking...words and photos.
Hope you are enjoying a wonderful Memorial day down there in Texas.
Elk,
Spectacular captures! I have studied skies a lot and don't believe I have ever seen anything quite like the last shot. Very unusual! Great sky watching!

gorgeous but to be honest i've just about had it with the whole cloud/rain thing.
Wow, the puffs of the last picture are truly dramatic! I haven't seen anything but gray overcasts and full sun for the last month...no clouds with character like these :)
magical skies! Magical photos!
i love that you gave the sky a standing ovation. and i see God peeking his face out from behind those clouds... how you capture him, in every post...
"I pause in the yard with arms outstretched" I love this and the gift the sky can give to us. Beautiful photographs! roxanne
