if you are feeling somewhat bent over
lean on the strength of something that is not
out on a limb ... look below ..
embrace the yellow leaves to cushion you
like pine cones and needles
through each season . always stick together
under the evergreen
we lean on one another
sharing Imperfect Prose

Beautiful! So good to find someone to lean on!!!
the photos are dream like.

So good. That one straight tree next to the bent over tree? It speaks out loud to me.

such wisdom in your words ...
just beautiful.
love this: "if you are feeling somewhat bent over
lean on the strength of something that is not"
i will carry that with me, thank you.
I love tree images!
Such a perfect image to go with the prose! Thank you for sharing this, I needed to read it today!
such great wisdom and shared so beautifully in word and image.
this reminds me of a lovely song by steve bell and his daughter... "trees do bend, though straight and tall -- so must we to others call." i think you'd like it -- you're lovely and lyrical, too.
very beautiful, thank you for all you share here, and I hope your musical was wonderful! roxanne
Exactly! I am definitely leaning on the strength of Someone who is strong.

i have a little note card framed in my room, it reads:
why not go out on a limb that's where the fruit is
:)
Yes, love what you see and how you see it. Such an insightful poet.

'Tis the season to think of evergreens.

More perfect than imperfect...your words and your images that is:) I love how you manage to say so much with just a few words...

These words & images of friendship and togetherness bring tears to my eyes... such beauty, Elk--thank you! :o) Happy Day ((HUGS))
words and pictures cooperate to form unions in image and meaning - well done
under the evergreen...
i find you, dear ELK. and you never disappoint. never. stunning photos. comforting words. i find home here, too, friend. xo (just so you know, this will be the final imperfect prose until the new year--thanks so much for linking!)
as usual, love you and your words.
i have saved you up and this is the first i read and it is perfect. such beautiful words, such insight, such seeing what the rest of us don't. i needed to hear this tonight.

you can certainly feel the fog in these images. I love (love) the single twinkling light in the header - clever you!
I like to pause in the woods occasionally and hug a tree. They feel so comforting and strong and I can feel any tension drain away.
Much like I feel when reading this reminder.
I love the space here--the white, the simplicity, the pause. I love your photos, and the reminder that relationships are what matter. Blessings to you.
Hey Elk, I just came across this and thought of you immediately:

I'm sure you would have a beautiful butterfly to contribute!
