i just saw on the news - day 17 for dallas. less days in a row here, but not too many less, and still hangin' above that 100 degree mark. which means i SOOO get this. if i forget to water the plants in the morning, and do so at lunchtime, steam actually comes out of the hose at first. veryyyy hot!! by the time it cools i always get my toes wet. :)
I love this set Elk! That is what I love about creative people take a hellish day and make something beautiful out of it. Wish the weather would warm up around here, Mark Twain was right, the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer in San Francisco!
That purple rain is gorgeous. When I lived in Austin, I always loved watering the lawn. Getting myself wet on purpose and creating rainbows with the spray of the water... Man, I miss that.
watering the garden is a relaxing time for me. it's hot and muggy here as well but not over 100 - just high 90s. i'm about ready for autumn. your photos are refreshing. love that second one.
love these! it has been over 100 all week here too. It is almost unbearable! I have started school though so no sprinkler for me... although that is a wonderful idea!
i liked these three photos; so different for you blog here; enjoyed the vibrant colors. here in the bay area of california we are at lows for a summer; the lowest temps in over 90 years and no day over 80 degrees for another week; they think it might turn into summer for a month or so; and that we might not have a wet winter, in spite of being in la nina

It does look purple. OH MY!
We've been over 100 for months, now. That water looks so lovely. I especially like the textures in the first image. :)
I somehow missed this post. I can almost feel the spray from the middle photo. Ahhhhhhhh.
