camera in hand . curled up in a quiet corner . catching the peaceful light
some days are filled with bright whites . strong reds
the soft curve of a vintage spool
while always a few moments remain a blur
tangles may appear as well
I resolve to stay in the light . leaning into the strong thread of life
Photo Play ... the details are here...

I've enoyed your play.
That was meant to be enjoyed (just in case you think it was annoyed).
well done! I love the simplicity of the images and your words brought a new meaning to it for me, lovely!
e, you stop me and you allow me time to reflect. i was talking to God in the car this morning, telling Him i need Him to undo me. i need to be unwound and patchworked with His refining.
and then you complete my prayer...
kind of sums up my life....thank you for this
very strong imagery ...
what a fun photo shoot! Like the second shot best...so sensual. wow.
the scarlet thread :)
These photos really play! Fun. I'm all unraveled.
Whatever the surface is you have that lying on really brings out the spool nicely. I like this very much.
serene and sensational imagery
with beautiful words ...
love this completely ...

...You surely captured the essence of the PhotoPlay assignment!...But you went above and beyond with the story that goes with it...
What intriguing playful thoughts!
Those tangles can be annoying but they make the twine strong.
Enjoy your time in the peaceful light.
what a very special post.
Ohhh, I like how you played with the string in these images :) also the reflections and shadows are FABULOUS.
Fantastic!! Love how you've used these images as perfect metaphors for life's days. Oh-so-very creative!!!
There aren't really words to describe how this opens my heart. Your worldview is lovely, and I am grateful that you share it with others.
elk,
I am so blessed to have found you, or however I was lead here.
This was beautiful. Again.
I have some vintage spools from my grandmother's sewing collection. I'll use them once in a while for something special.
it's amazing how much time we can spend camera in hand, taking picture after picture of the same subject. loved this series.
Such gorgeous photos from such simple objects. You always capture the best shadows and come up with the most lovely words.
love that wooden spool, esp against the smooth, reflective white plate!
Love this post! There is just so much truth in these sparse words and images.
How a simple thing in life can tell such a story.
Great shots, great words.
