feet planted alongside a sea of Indian paintbrush waving a vivid farewell to April

pause to sway upon each breeze that floats in your direction
safe amid the long grasses that whisper encouragement
to reach for the colors that create moments of life

The last one in particular could be an Impressionist painting. They're all beautiful and quite an homage to April, a lovely month.

I love those! And they grow wild, don't they? Sometimes I think man can't really improve on nature--these photos are proof!

I haven't seen Indian paintbrush in years! I've only seen small patches (or a few lone flowers), never a whole field. The color!

our spring's share pink & greens, but in such contrasting ways...our big ole blossoming trees, your swaying paintbrushes.
off into may, i will miss the gloriousness of our april...unbelievably exquisite.

Elk,
there is always a certain something about how you capture the light .
these are incredible, and I like to imagine you enjoying this as you go about your days.
Hope you are well.
