hey you can eat these, can't you? i saw a recipe for something that looked like these cacti and am wondering if i should try the ones in my garden...
What an odd but interesting combination.
thank you JE...this is a patch of cacti growing in a front yard that i pass in the car every day...they have put their holiday decorations up around them

Cactus and Christmas - it is a combination I have never thought of - but effective I have to say.
So odd for me - here in the northeast - to see cactuses at Christmas! Lovely images!!!
I can't imagine Christmas without snow because that's all I've ever known.

I just received a picture from a friend with the trunks of palm trees dressed in Christmas lights. The season is in the heart no matter where the heart lives, isn't it?
i just love seeing the different vegetation in everyone's world. so cool.
i too love all the different types of plants where others live... cactus is really common where i live and i am constantly dazzled by how many different varieties there are...
i think it would be a lovely idea to string some Christmas lights around a cactus...

I like how the Christmas tree is juxtaposed against the cactus. Yes, we do love to decorate cacti here, too. I'll have to get some shots of saguaros strung with lights.
