What a rich shade of purple those berries! The leaf looks familiar, but not the berry. What is this, Elk? Whatever it is it's lovely... and I image birds eat it? :o) Happy Day ((HUGS))

Wow, such a deep dark color. They look yummy. I love to see plants all dried up for the season. They make such pretty pictures.
i have two friends who like purple very very much. the one even painted a wall in her house purple.
it is a colour i have always liked from a distance but here, the way you have captured it, i find my heart opening up to it.
I had never seen a beauty berry bush until this year. And now I see them everywhere. And they make me smile.

Oh, you crazy funny woman, you have made me laugh & laugh this morning - thank you SO much, lately that's a hard thing to do - but oh my! We have tons of these - they especially grow along the top of the creek in the yard and can I mention how much the birds love them? And how we have no garage or any protection for our vehicles? And how, ahem, colorfully the birds paint our vehicles after ingesting said berries? Poor Katie is the only one left with a white car and it is the worst. Bless her heart! Oh such beautiful berries, such beautiful purple sidewalks and cars later. :)

Wow, I've never seen such purple berries ... not a good time to hang washing on the line if there are also birds about.
that's amazing saturated color in those berries.
They would be fantastic against our winter snow! Actually, they are pretty fantastic right where they are.
I do believe it's lantana, which we also have in AZ in ample supply but I like them. We have some purple lantana in our yard but the berries aren't this vivid of a purple, more like a black-purple. These are pretty. I have a friend on Norfolk Island in the South Pacific and she says lantana is a weed over there. Maybe it is here, too, but it is certainly used in a lot of landscaping. Hard to kill them, though, which is good.
Ah...the contrasts. The purple so rich and vibrant. The color then draining in the berry.
What an amazing colour! I've never seen them either. But I had to lol at the comment about the birds' colourful droppings!

i like the contrast in the two shots... one plump and full, the other broken and drying... {and that just happens to be my new favorite color this fall... that purple-yum!}
