Yes it is the texture and the light that is so captivating. And I too find the new header beautiful. You have such a talent for "putting things together"
Love, love, love this latest header incarnation - that leaf with the blue is pretty wonderful. And your black & white is ditto wonderful, reminding me of a "church" in Gladewater I photographed a bit ago. Perhaps I'll post those pictures today. They very much fit your theme today. As always, few words, but you make it work. A gift.
ooo e. i love that middle one, is it a grapevine wreath?? fabulous texture and contrast!! and your new header photos are fantastic!! wonderful colors!!!!
I like the detail you've captured with these black&white pictures--it's amazing what black and white can do to a composition. These look very tranquil and peaceful--very nice :)
the second photo has a very specific mood. it takes me back to a market in madagascar where i bought a kilogram of vanilla pods and a basket of litchis.
i find myself catching up on the blogs on the weekends... i'm scanning through yours now, and each one is prettier/more stunning/makes-me-smile more than the next. you are truly talented!!

Bold, imaginative.
nice b/w series
great black and whites.
I'm loving the sky in the header...it's red..or gray! :)
amazing use of focus .... soft focus on man made materials and their hard edges. Hard focus on God's sticks bent ever so perfectly into a perfect arch
