bricks and bubbles

go with the flow today no matter where you perch

sitting

long cherished bowl sits on my table
an out of focus morning

pitcher sat on the thrift store shelf with a seventy five cent sticker
now purchased and placed in the light
on my windowsill

in focus
out of focus
a parallel of moments

september feeling

a garden in transition
has a comfort and rhythm to it
though autumn is just a hint in the air
the golds and browns are inevitable and honored
we also experience change in the garden of our lives
as leaves change and flutter in the gentle warm air

gratitude in every gentle drop

belonging

a random vine appeared
in my sunny garden
it grew
it bloomed
I smiled
at nature's reminder
that everything belongs somewhere

fourteen days

as a
teacher
life is a blur
I jump the cracks
then tie up the week
with a soft string and lace

take shelter

within days of each other these divine postcards arrived
I knew they were coming but did not expect the magical parallels

as I had taken similar ones
posted the same day

this second one is a bit more abstract but I connected the moment it appeared

on any given day
from different lives and experiences
artistic magic happens that makes me smile

senior moments

this is my daughter
in the middle of painting her senior parking space
it will say "Sing Loud...it's a Big World"
trimmed in music notes and all

this is her mom later
looking at the moon from the porch ... taking her advice
the blue seems way over saturated...I left it that way...its a big world!

if the day begins to unravel
try to weave

strength .. color .. light

softness .. texture and a net!

taking her to school each day we round the corner to a familiar spot in the school yard
as we pass by the trees I silently pray for the daughter riding next to me
that her day be filled with positive moments...light....kindness

today (after I dropped her off!) camera in hand
I stopped to capture the strength and energy shining on me

it is my hope that you will find a reminder
to infuse happy energy into those that are in your care
may a confirmation shine bright ..strong and clear
