I had never seen a lemon bloom before - I thought they grew in the produce aisle! Can you tell I don't live in citrus country?? :-) Nice connection of words & images! xox
i did not know lemon tree blossoms look like that. i think lemons have to be my favorite fruit on so many levels. i love the way they look in a bowl or sliced in a pitcher of ice water. i love the way they smell and can make any room fresh. i love the cleaning properties they possess. i love the taste when the juice is added to my water. {it's the only way i'll drink water.} i love the cleansing properties they have for the body—and how they help prevent the kidney stones i am prone to. {although they wear down the enamel on teeth, too.} i love the use of them in design motifs. and i now love the way they photograph. this could be the wonder fruit, no? move over bananas! :)
Gorgeous lemon! I would love to live somewhere where I could have a lemon tree. How perfect it would be to go outside and picka a lemon to cook with. :)

What a gorgeous plate - I just love all sorts of china - the lemon looks very at home on that pretty plate.
and make sure to get yourself into a lemonade because that is when you taste best for claire ; ) or maybe into a mug of hot tea?
cute plate.
your lemon on a plate has me thing of making lemon butter. something I haven't had for so long.
I also agree cute plate.
my lemon plants are still very small - i wait for them to bloom and grow!
Lovely post ELK - one of the few things I regret about living where the weather is cooler is that I can't grow any citrus.

I have never seen a lemon blossom before! Both images are so pretty.
oh my goodness, in your own back yard? pure poetry
What wisdom (and color and fragrance, too).
I love those two images, and the thought. Thank you for these.
I love the perspective in your photos. Truly inspirational!
Is that your own lemon? I love the fragrance of a lemon tree in flower.
the most amazing fruit comes from the tree in my mom's backyard... so full of juice and incredibly flavorful...
as we all continue our own blooming, may we all be as juicy and giving and fruitful (and even tart too)... :)
lovely photos...
this lemon is not from the tree it is too early ...here is a blog post from last fall when one was ready to be picked!
love the lemon on the plate - so bright and cheerful. a great reminder that a little tart always makes the sweet sweeter.
Oh the wonderful evolution of a great fruit. Thank you ELk!
Lemons can teach us so much :) And they have many uses too... Love the photos!
Ahh, lemons are hard to find around here, you lucky people! Love the words of wisdom ELK...
