what a beautiful place to stop by and visit, to feel all the love and immerse in the most beautiful of images... thank you for leaving me a bread crumb, so that i might come here and discover...
Your sentiments are perfect! My 16 year old son was getting annoyed with my other two kids at dinner last night and I said to him that when he is in college in a couple of years he'll miss this. I'm not sure that he will miss it, but I know I will.
I know the feeling. We had everyone home for one too-short long Memorial Day weekend. So good to be a 'whole' family again!!! Love how you've expressed your thoughts and feelings in words and image.
I know exactly what you mean. My home is always empty and not really "home" until my boys are here. As always, I love how you put image and words together to tell a story.
So very true. We've had an empty chair at our house for way too many years. Oh, that it was for higher learning. A poignant image to go with your thought.
It IS happy, isn't it? Mine are at the age where college is over and the coming home isn't so often. It's not a bad thing, don't get me wrong! But remembering the past, I do remember it was nice.
Elk: you always manage to make me feel connected with just a few photos and a sentence or two. You make my mind wander off to an imaginary table of my own with grown up children, chatting and laughing, talking about what life may bring and old memories.
i had to laugh when i read that quote. sometimes the chairs around are table ... well sometimes there aren't even enough chairs. i love the extra faces that the kids bring home. adults on their own but still the kids we have known forever.

Love the way you tie the quote and your thoughts together.

Oh, what a beautiful thought!
Pretty sure my momma feels the same way :) When I'm home from college I'm practically chained to her side :)
How beautiful! I really like the quote at the top of the picture :)

It would be a great sign in the kitchen

Yea for summer! To me, summer has come to mean Mommas and daughters having happy adventures. For you, too, I know.
