I love rust. It is one of my favorite things to capture and completely fun to play with in Lightroom. Love your rusty captures!

Love the words and photos. thanks for stopping by my blog. :o)
I do find beauty in rust. Nice shots.
I like rust, too. I've just never thought of photographing it! You inspire, Elk!
i love rust! i was taking photos of rusty trucks for a while. obsessively. yelling, stop the car!!
I love rust...ocre I like to call it :)
The butterfly image rocks!
There was a point in time when I thought rust was bad, it meant old and worn out, tattered and tarnished, it was not good it was a disease that can’t be cured and therefore what ever caught rust had to enter the big black rubbish bin. Now I see rust as beautiful, old is ok, old means experience and worldliness, to have rust on items mean they have been enjoyed by many and have not tucked away and hidden. Most of all rust tells interesting stories. I love rust.
Me, too! It sounds like we're all a bunch of rust lovers! I think I only discovered it's beauty after I became interested in photography. Another wonderful thing about having a camera in my hands! I love your images and words!
i love pictures of rust. what is it about it that makes it so photographable?? i guess it's the things you listed. love this post!
Being in my rusty years as I am, I think rust is beautiful. I also have a thing for buttons, so the picture with the wire and buttons shakes my rusty creative brain.
rust adds character
I love rusty things. Well, as long as it isn't mechanical and the rust is hurting it. ;)
Lovely perspective (as usual!!) Don't you love how nature just improves upon our attempts.
I'm totally a rust embracer !!
I love the beauty that can be found in rusted, weathered things, as you have found here in your fabulous photos. Gorgeous.
I hate it when I'm late in commenting....everyone has already said everything that was going on in my mind as I opened this post. *sigh*
Just know that I visited and enjoyed -- as always!
those rusty bits are beautiful...
I saw the butterfly first, and without reading the words - or looking too closely - i wondered why you had a slightly burnt butterfly shaped cookie hanging on the wall. :) And yes - I am totally sober!
Great photos! I love the look of rusted things.
What a wonderful collection of rusty details. Rust is such an amazing thing!!!!
I've been feeling 'rusty' lately!
Beautiful photos Elk and oh so lovely words. Your blog is so lovely that I need to take some time and explore in more detail...
I love rust, and your backyard looks like a lot of fun!
Very pretty collection.
I am one with the rust, seriously.
I am so serious today, so full of the blues, and this makes me feel good. Perseverance. Yes.
:) Debi
Rust is inevitable - you're so right - bring it on!
I don't love rust on my car, but otherwise I love it. :)
Your blog is beautiful...so glad I found it today *big* :)
I admit... I love rust, too. Crusty, deep reds should be celebrated more often. Thank you for capturing the beauty many toss away as unlovely, damaged and corroded.
Thank you, Elk, for stopping by to congratulate me. I feel you left me a gift; discovering your blog. I'm going to embed myself here (like rust) as often as possible.
very wabi sabi.
