intimate

connection

simple

a quiet place on an otherwise busy, active campus
to sit and rest, hope you will too

six years ago

the soft white sands cradled them in the warmth of a January hug

sky shine reminds of that treasured time

father and daughter in a sunset moment ...

this dogwood tree in the front yard is on a journey of blooms
sit with me this week as I share them with joy!

With grace and wonder
the blossoms open
just a bit further
each day

metal and glass

my mother
in her later years
was a bonsai gardener

theses were the tools
used to create art in the soil
now like much of her art
they are framed
as honored pieces in my home

as I placed

the oak reflected
on the glass
filled

heart

to gaze upward with the buds



to rest among the branches



to lean against the strong bricks

although the columns are peeling and rough they are still strong



the motion of life can be felt in the swaying of a porch swing



the soft shadows play on the side of the B & B
where we stay each time we visit our daughter in college
